Membership
Membership Levels - Registered Clinical Member


Registered Clinical Membership is available for anyone who has completed an NLP Master Practitioner Certification course which meets the Minimum NLP Training Requirements, who works clinically and meets the minimum requirements as set below.

   BENEFITS
 
  MEMBERSHIP FEE
  $120 per year, renewable annually on anniversary of membership plus $30 annually for optional weblisting
   
  REQUIREMENTS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION
 
  • NLP Master Practitioner Certificate from a training institute whose training meets the Minimum NLP Training Requirements specified by the ABNLP.

  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance for the totality of your practice

  • 2 years Clinical NLP experience (post NLP Master Practitioner Certification) with at least 200 hours direct client contact.

  • A minimum of 25 hours of Ongoing Professional Development (post Master Practitioner Certification) over a maximum of 2 years.

  • A minimum of 50 hours of Clinical Supervision over the past two years by a qualified supervisor.

Experienced and qualified clinical practitioners or NLP practitioners from allied health backgrounds (eg. psychology, counselling, nursing, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy) who may not meet all of the above criteria are encouraged to apply for ABNLP clinical membership and are required to have 2 years (200hrs) or direct client work in their allied discipline plus 1 year (100hrs) of NLP based practice. The supervision requirements remain the same. An assessment of a session (by DVD recording) may also be required. All applications will be assessed on an individual basis.

  ONGOING MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
 
  TO APPLY
 
  1. Submit the ABNLP Download Membership Application along with the prescribed fee

  2. Scan or forward Documentary evidence of NLP Master Practitioner Certification from a training institute whose training meets the Minimum NLP Training Requirements specified by the ABNLP (unless already on file with ABNLP).

  3. Submit evidence of completing 25 hours Ongoing Professional Development (post Master Practitioner Certification) over the past two years.

  4. Submit evidence of completing 2 years Clinical NLP experience with at least 200 hours direct client contact.

  5. Submit evidence of completing 50 hours Clinical Supervision prior to application by an ABNLP approved  supervisor (25 hours may be in group format) over the past two years.

  6. Provide a certificate of current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.

  7. Read the Code of Ethics and acknowledge your commitment to abide by them

   TO RENEW MEMBERSHIP
 
  1. Submit the ABNLP Clinical and Trainer Renewal Form along with the prescribed membership fee within one month of your membership expiry date.

  2. Submit evidence of completing 15 hours Clinical Supervision per year (at least 10 hours of which are to be in individual format)

  3. Submit evidence of completing 16 hours of Ongoing Professional Development (OPD) per year.

  4. Provide a certificate of current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
